Has held positions in Accounting, Audit and Finance within Inco in Australia, Indonesia, Singapore and Hong Kong since joining Inco in 1970

Former President and Chief Operating Officer of Inco Limited from February 2001 to November 2006. He was a member of the Board of Commissioners for PT International Nickel Indonesia from 1999 to 2006, a Director of Inco Limited from 2003 to 2006 and a member of the Management Committee of Inco Limited.
He has over 39 years of mining experience with companies including Anglo American, Newmont Mines, Princeton Mining Corporation and Hudson Bay Mining and Smelting Company Limited.
Director of Lakota Resources Inc. since September 2008; Director of Century Aluminum Company since March 2007, Director of Mizuho Corporate Bank (Canada) since December 2006; Director of IAMGOLD Corporation since May 2006.
